Dear ones, this question must have come to your mind that if Satan is the root of all evil and sin, then why did God not destroy Satan? Why did God not kill Satan? So today we will study deeply on this topic.
Dear ones, before we know why God did not destroy Satan we must know about the creation of Satan? Bible tells us that before Satan became Satan, he was an angel. Before God made the earth, He created the angels. That is, at the time when God created heaven, He also created the angels.
The creation of angels happened even before the creation of the earth. The Bible also tells us that Lucifer, who later became Satan, was one of the archangels. It is written in the book of Ezekiel prophet and its 28th chapter, verses 12 to 15 that –
12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God:
“You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13.You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes .Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
14.“You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
15.You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.
Beloved, pride and conceit came into his heart, because God had given a free will to the heavenly beings also, so that they could choose, just as God has given a free will to human beings, But as soon as Lucifer thought like this, God threw him down from heaven. and took away all her beauty
Dear ones, now you must be wondering here, why God did not kill Lucifer immediately after he threw him down from heaven, So let me tell you, dear ones, that when the heavenly creatures were created, God gave them immortal bodies like Himself, that is, bodies that would never die and never perish.
That means angels were created with immortal body, no one can kill them, so when God threw Lucifer down from heaven, and when he became Satan, God prepared a place for him, which is called hell.
In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25, verse 41, it is written,
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels”

This Bible verse tells us that God has prepared a place for Satan and all his fellow angels, where he will be cast for eternity, where he will only have to weep, groan and burn in eternal fire.
But now the question is, since God has prepared hell for Satan and his angels, why doesn’t God just throw Satan into that hell? Why doesn’t God just end his story once and for all?
So let me tell you, beloved, that our God is wiser than us, if God has put Satan on earth, then there must be some reason behind it.
Dear ones, actually God achieves many things through the works of Satan. God allows Satan to do so much evil, harm and destruction in the world because through these he gives people the opportunity to repent towards God. Have you ever noticed that as long as people are living a comfortable life in which there is no illness, no poverty, no pain or no sorrow, they hardly remember God. Beloved, God has a purpose behind whatever He allows to happen.
In the Old Testament we see an incident, when the people of Israel were in the wilderness, and when they had forgotten God, suddenly a poisonous serpent came among them and started biting them.
Then Moses, on God’s command, made a serpent of bronze, and hung it high, so that whoever looked at it, his life would be saved. Then all who looked at that bronze serpent, they were saved.
Beloved, have you ever thought, if that serpent had not come among the people of Israel and bit them, would the people of Israel have repented? But God allowed this to happen so that the people of God’s people would remember God.
Dear ones, there are many people who do not think about God until they go to the hospital because of some serious illness, then suddenly they remember God and they repent and call upon God.
Beloved, what I mean to say is that God allows Satan to work in our lives until we repent and turn back to God.
One more thing, beloved, that helps us understand why God did not destroy Satan? There is love. Just think about it, if God had destroyed Satan and the angels who rebelled with him at that time, then the rest of the angels in heaven would have been scared to see this, and then they would have served God in fear, then there would have been no love in that service, only fear, They fear that God might destroy us like those rebellious angels,
God wanted to prove that He is a loving God, so He tolerated Satan’s rebellions,And he was not destroyed immediately. God wanted to tell the other angels present in heaven what sin can do. God wanted to tell how deep is his love for sinners. He wanted to tell that he loves us so much that he even sent his son Lord Jesus to be sacrificed on the cross.
Satan says that God does not love, But God showed his love through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Satan says that God is not just; he has given harsh laws in the form of the law. But instead of changing the law, God sent his Son and fulfilled the law and gave a new law of grace to man.
Satan says that God is not merciful, but God has proved through Jesus Christ how merciful He is because when we were still sinners, Lord Jesus Christ died for our sinners.
Dear ones, always remember one thing that God does not force anyone to serve him. He does not want us to worship him in the church out of fear, rather he wants us to serve him with love.
That is why the first and most important guidance that God gave us in His words is that “We should love God with all our heart, soul and mind. God wants us to love Him the most and serve Him with love” It is because of God’s love that he is patient so that everyone may have a chance to repent and not one perish.
Dear, now you must be wondering when will God destroy Satan again?
So let me tell you that when the Lord’s 1000 year reign is completed then Satan will be released from captivity,
Because when the Lord’s rule of 1000 years will come, then Satan will be imprisoned but after 1000 years he will be released again for the final war After that he will be cast into hell forever which burns with fire and sulphur where he and his angels will continue to suffer in torment for ages.
As it is written in the book of Revelation, chapter 20, verses 1 to 10
Dear ones, it is not that God does not know anything. He is the omniscient God. He knows things from the beginning to the end. He knows what Satan is doing and what he can do. But he cannot do anything beyond the limits set for him by the Lord.
A day will come when God will set everything right, a day will come when Satan will be thrown into the fire forever, a day will come when Satan’s kingdom will be completely destroyed and God will take us to his kingdom and there will be no trace of Satan in that kingdom.
God will be with us in this world for eternity and where God is there will be no sorrow, no pain and no sickness. God will wipe away all the tears from our eyes instantly and take us to eternal rest where there will be only joy.
I hope dear ones, this blog post would have been a blessing for you. I will meet you again in the next post with a new topic. Till then, God bless you all.
FAQs
Why didn’t God fight Satan?
God allows free will, giving His creation the choice to love and follow Him. Satan’s rebellion is part of this allowance, serving a greater purpose in His divine plan (Job 1:6-12).
Why does God allow evil to exist?
Evil exists as a result of free will. God allows it temporarily to fulfill His purposes and ultimately demonstrate His justice and grace (Romans 8:28).
Why can Satan be forgiven by God?
Satan’s rebellion is absolute, and he has chosen to reject God completely. Forgiveness requires repentance, which Satan has refused.
Why does God not remove sin?
Sin exists due to human free will. God offers salvation through Jesus Christ, allowing believers to overcome sin and find eternal life (John 3:16).
