Prayer of Intercession: Seek God’s Guidance, Peace, and Restoration

Welcome to the prayer for intercession. This is simply a prayer I’ve put together where I’d like to pray for anyone within the sound of my post. All I ask you to do is to agree with me as I pray, and together we will seek our Heavenly Father. Please continue to meditate on this prayer for yourself, speak it daily, or read it over and over again, and allow the Word of God to reach deep into your spirit.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we gather together and come into agreement in the wonderful and powerful name of Jesus. Where two or more are gathered, there You’ll be in the midst of us, and anything we agree upon as touching, You will surely do. The Bible says if there’s any unforgiveness, it should be dealt with before praying. Therefore, we release any anger, bad feelings, resentment, or any other wrong attitude before You now. We lay it at Your feet, and we release and forgive those who have wronged us, Father, in Jesus’ name.

There’s no distance in the spirit, and we thank You for the listener who desires a prayer for intercession. Lord, we lift up the listener who may simply require intercession for themselves or the person or persons on the heart of the listener. We are honored to be able to pray for them or the person they have on their heart right now in Jesus’ name. If they don’t know You, Father, whether it’s the listener themselves or the person they have on their heart, we pray that laborers would cross their paths to witness the Good News. We call the blindfolds that are blinding them to the Gospel removed now in Jesus’ name and thank You, Father, for these laborers crossing their paths, witnessing the Gospel to them in Jesus’ name.

Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over them right now and their family. We call them protected. Angels watch over them and surround them wherever they go. We call them empowered from within right now, Father. We call all hidden dangers and traps brought to light, exposed, and shown to the listener or the person they have on their heart. Open their eyes in Jesus’ name to recognize these things. Give them the wisdom and grace to go around or through them. We declare that they stand firm in You and stand against the wiles of the devil. We declare that they are able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand. Hallelujah.

Their minds are girded about with the truth Your Word, Lord. Your Word is truth containing all the weapons of their warfare, which are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Help them to present their body as a living sacrifice, Father, and to renew their mind with Your truth so that they can experience the good, the acceptable, and the perfect will of God.

We lift up all the relationships and call out those relationships they need to walk away from. Father, give them discernment, Lord, to recognize the relationships that need to go and the strength to let them go. Show them, Father, which relationships also, in like manner, need to be nurtured the ones that need to be kept. Father, we call those good relationships in their life fruitful in Jesus’ name, and together, Father, we call in new divinely connected friendships and relationships in Jesus’ name.

We decree and declare restoration and wholeness over their family and all those relationships wholeness now, strength now, peace now in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah. We declare that in and through Christ Jesus, they have peace and pursue peace with all men. We declare that the love of God shed abroad in their heart is flourishing and that they are walking in love with those around them. Yes, Father, the person we are interceding for is a minister of reconciliation, proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel. They take up the shield of faith, wherewith they are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

In other words, Father, regardless of what they see happening around them in their life, they look to Your Word, believe Your Word, and stand on Your Word, Father, believing that You will bring to pass Your promises in their life. Lord, in the name of Jesus, we declare that when they face trials, tests, temptations, and tribulations, they will cast down the snare of the enemy, God, by speaking Your Word. They are more than conquerors through Christ. Greater is He that is in them than he that is in the world. We believe it and, therefore, speak it.

Praise You, Lord. Their power, ability, and sufficiency are from You, who have qualified them. You have qualified them as a minister and a dispenser of a new covenant of salvation through Christ. Lord, we cry out for understanding in all situations the listener faces. Liberally grant them supernatural wisdom. May they, Father, have a solution for each problem they face as they spend time with You. Thank You, Father, for letting that answer rise up from within them, and they’ll know what to do. They’ll be led by Your peace in all situations.

We are assured and know, God, that You, being a partner in the person’s life, Father, for whom we’re interceding, will work all things together for good. We declare it: all things are working together for good and fitting into a plan for good for those, Father, who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Thanks to the Holy Spirit’s guidance, Father, everything that the listener themselves or the person they have on their heart, You are choreographing it all and bringing it together for good in Jesus’ name.

Thank You, Father, for helping the person we’re praying for to effectively pray in their prayer closet. May they pray Your Word, because when they pray Your Word, You watch over it to perform it. Hallelujah. We decree that You shall reward them openly. We bind favor and peace around them now in Jesus’ name. We bind their feet to Your will, Lord, in all areas of their life. We speak and declare freedom in areas where they may feel bound in Jesus’ name.

Because of Your anointing, like a flood, we thank You for Your anointing that is destroying what bound them and freeing them up like never before. Glory. We lift up every one of their needs spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial and call every need abundantly supplied in Jesus’ name. We declare restoration and abundance in their life now in Jesus’ name. Ministering spirits, angels, bring in their supply.

Praise You, Lord. We believe and receive everything we’ve prayed and interceded for and give You glory in advance, for this prayer is answered. In the wonderful and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
